Blues on the Point Festival

Date: 01/02/2025
Time: 13:00
Following the huge success of the inaugural festival last March, we’re bringing the best of New Zealand Blues to our Monaco waterfront home.

NZ Blues legends The Flaming Mudcats, Auckland’s hottest Rhythm & Blues band, are the star headliners of eight hours of Blues music.

Christchurch’s 16 year-old rising Blues guitar sensation Lachlan Platt makes his first appearance in Nelson. A keen student of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lachlan is developing his own tasty and fiery style of original Blues.

The best of Tasman Bay Blues performers complete the line-up:

Le Gumbo Combo join forces with Nelson singing icon Trudi Wilson, and other star guests to cook up a special recipe of 50s New Orleans R&B.
Rich & The Poor Boys swing in with a London take on the British Blues Boom and Chicago classics.
Mixing Delta, funk and modern Blues, Rinholio will showcase the talents of ace guitarist and singer Darrin Andrews.
Tasman Bay firm-favourites The Rubber Biscuit Band promise ‘The Blues and beyond’ delivered by a tack-sharp band.
Legendary guitarist Ivan Outram will be scaling the fretboard heights with his fine West Coast Blues Band.

Held in the gardens of The Honest Lawyer Country Pub & Hotel, this is a family-friendly event with food and drinks available and plenty of hopefully-needed shade.

Gates open 12.30pm.
