Golfers of Nelson, time to dust off those clubs and sign up for a fun-filled day of making memories while making a difference. The annual Findex Community Fund (FCF) Charity Golf Day is back at the Nelson Golf Club on Friday, 16 May 2025.
This year, all proceeds are targeted at funding a new Nelson-based Hato Hone St John ambulance station - so your participation could literally help save lives. Grab three friends, colleagues or clients and form a 4-ball for a cause.
Andrew Smith, Nelson Findex Managing Partner, is buzzing with excitement. “Even a bad day on the course beats a good day at the office,” he grins. “This is a chance for local business owners, weekend warriors, and even first-timers to enjoy a cracking day out while backing Hato Hone St John.”
The event’s Ambrose-style 18 holes at Nelson Links promises stunning Tasman Bay views, on-course BBQ and drink stations, and a ‘Party Hole’ hosted by platinum sponsor Tax Management New Zealand, complete with burgers and tunes. Compete in challenges like the target hole, longest drive and closest to the pin for a chance to win great prizes!
Bowater Motor Group’s Hole-in-One contest offers a car worth up to $40,000 - and a matching $40,000 donation to St John if you nail it. Post-game, enjoy nibbles, networking, and an auction featuring a chance to bag 6-night Fiordland Discovery trip for two, valued at $15,000.
At $100 + GST per person, it’s a steal for a day packed with fun and purpose. No experience? No worries - Ambrose style levels the fairway for all. After raising $18,000 in 2022, Findex aims to top that in 2025 - but it starts with you. “Get your team together,” Smith urges. “Every player helps us hit our target.”
