519 new cases for region

The Nelson-Marlborough region has 513 new cases of Covid-19 confirms the Ministry of Health.

Of the 899 people in hospital nationally, 13 are within the Nelson Marlborough region, they report.

Just over 96 per cent of the Nelson Marlborough district have had at least one dose of the vaccine, with 75.7 per cent full boosted.

Nationally, the ministry reported 15,871 new Covid-19 cases and 13 deaths.

Nelson Marlborough District Health Board confirmed 524 new cases in the region today.

Their numbers differ from MOH due to different cut off times for reporting.

Nelson had 171 new cases, while Blenheim reported 133.

Richmond recorded 70 new cases while Motueka/Moutere recorded 69 and Golden Bay 8.

There are now 5108 active cases of Covid-19 in the community.
