Benge & Co close doors after 15 years

Nelson city fruit and vege store Benge & Co Green Grocers has announced it will close effective immediately.
They made the announcement on their Facebook Page on Wednesday morning, informing the store would close permanently from 12pm today.
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Benge & Co Green Grocers after 15 wonderful years of serving Nelson," the post read.
"We have cherished every moment and are grateful for the support and loyalty you have shown us over the years. From the freshest produce to the friendly faces, Benge & Co has always strived to bring the freshest and best quality to our community. We are proud of the relationships we’ve built and the memories we’ve shared.
They are offering 50 per cent off store wide from 9am until 12pm Wednesday 8 January 2025.
"It’s our way of saying thank you for your support."
They will be closing at 12pm January 8, 2025.
"Thank you for being a part of our journey. We will miss you all dearly."
The store will only be accepting eftpos and cash this morning. No payment by gift voucher or pre-existing credit accounts are accepted.
