Fire crews are responding to a fire at a property near Berryfields in Richmond this morning.
The fire is on a private property bordering the Grape Escape cafe on McShane Road.
A bystander told a Nelson App reporter that they understood it to be a shed fire and that there was an initial burst of thick black smoke.
Fire crews from Appleby and Richmond were on the scene.
Fire and Emergency have been contacted for comment.
