Mountainairs climb over Giants

A brave mid-game comeback wasn't enough for the NBS Nelson Giants as they fell to the Taranaki Mountainairs at the Trafalgar Centre this afternoon.
The Mountainairs got off to a flying start only for the Giants to draw level shortly after halftime, but the visitors pulled away again in the third and fourth quarters to win the game 108-93.
Teenager Hayden Jones top-scored for the hosts with 20 points.
The Giants are winless after their first five games, sitting 11th in the 12-team competition.
