Cloches have been lifted revealing this year’s elite Nelson Tasman hospitality and accommodation venues.

Served up at the Rutherford Hotel and hosted by Hospitality New Zealand, the 2025 Nelson Tasman Hospitality Awards on 5 May checked in 200 guests with the publicly decided winners of the 10 categories announced.

The Styx had three award courses including Bidfood Outstanding Restaurant, Bidfood Outstanding Chef for Arnold Perez and Cutting Edge Solutions Outstanding Front of House Professional for Pru Chapman.

Victus Coffee & Eatery on Bridge St took home a double shot of prizes including OneMusic Outstanding Café and Hospitality New Zealand Nelson Tasman Outstanding Barista for its owner Nick Schryvers.

The region’s best bar award poured in for Sprig + Fern Tāhuna with Kismet Cocktail & Whisky Bar owner Nick Widley claiming HotHouse Creative Outstanding Bartender.

Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park prevailed with The Breeze Outstanding Accommodation Provider and the Matthews Sport Vision & Hospitality NZ Outstanding Accommodation Professional award went to Tides Hotel & DeLorenzo’s Garry Munro.

Connings Food Market picked up the Duncan Cotterill Outstanding Local Producer gong.

Hospitality NZ’s Nelson-Tasman branch president, Alexander Siebentritt says the awards were a testament to the region’s “thriving” accommodation and food and beverage offerings.

“The calibre of hospitality and accommodation businesses across Nelson Tasman is absolutely worth celebrating, and while we can’t acknowledge everyone, it’s important we give some well-deserved recognition to the individuals and businesses who make up our local sector and contribute so much to the vibrancy of our communities,” he says.
