Nelson-Marlborough has 577 new cases of Covid-19, reported the Ministry for Health today.

There are 13 people who have been hospitalised with the virus in the district, with 692 hospitalisations nationally.

The ministry reported 14,120 new cases around the country today, bringing the confirmed cases to 716,151.

The Nelson Marlborough District Health Board reported 581 new cases today, their numbers differing from the MOH report because of different data cut-off times.

There were 139 new cases in Nelson, 78 in Richmond, 59 in Motueka/Moutere and 15 in Tasman.

Blenheim recorded 183 new cases, Picton 11, greater Marlborough 36 and 7 new cases in an unknown region.

The current outbreak now has 5,401 active cases, with Nelson having 1,463 cases, Richmond 786, Motueka/Moutere 620, Golden Bay 184, Tasman other 440, Blenheim 1,472, Picton 118, Marlborough other 231 and unknown/other region 88.
