Emergency services kept busy with crashes and a rolled 4x4

Within just 16 minutes local emergency services were called to three separate motor vehicle accidents in the region on Sunday.

The series of incidents began at 1.43pm along Maitai Valley Rd where a four-wheeled drive rolled.

Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson Andrew Norris says the one person involved with the crash was out of the vehicle and had left the area by the time emergency services showed up.

A police spokesperson confirmed the sole occupant had left the scene before police arrived and that there were no reports of injuries or blockages.

Just six minutes later emergency services were called to reports of a crash between a cyclist and a car along Rocks Rd.

Upon arrival, it appeared one person had fallen off their bike. and had not been knocked by a vehicle.

Just three minutes later first responders were alerted to a crash between a car and a moped along High St Motueka.
St John, Fire and Emergency NZ and police attended the scene.

One patient was noted with moderate injuries and no one was left trapped in a car.
