Supermarkets and Mad Butcher now locations of interest

As Aotearoa enters a new Covid-19 protection framework, Countdown Stoke, PAK'nSAVE Richmond and Stoke's Mad Butcher are the three latest locations of interest a part of the regions latest outbreak.

The times of concern for Countdown Stoke shoppers are Saturday 27 November between 12.10pm and 12.30pm.

For those that visited the Mad Butcher on Songer St Stoke Saturday 27 November between 12.00pm to 12.15pm and PAK'nSAVE Richmond on Sunday 28 November between 11.02am and 11.15am.

The Ministry of Health advises those who visited these locations at these times to self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after you were exposed.

If symptoms develop, the ministry advises to get a test and stay home until you get a negative test result.

As the country enters a new traffic light protection framework today, there are at least 14 active cases of Covid-19 in the Nelson Tasman community.

Of the 14 cases, there are two clusters, 11 in one, and 3 in another and a possible connection between the two clusters is being investigated.

The original source of infection for each cluster is still to be determined through epidemiological investigations.

The next update on case numbers is expected at 1pm Friday

The Top of the South has entered the framework at level 'orange', where people can continue to do everyday activities for those fully vaccinated and have their 'My Vaccine Pass' at the ready.

Restrictions include mandatory face coverings on all forms of public transport and in retail and public venues.

Those that aren't vaccinated will not be able to visit hairdressers, gyms, attend concerts or dine in at cafes and restaurants.

You do not need to show your My Vaccine Pass to receive healthcare or to enter Nelson Marlborough Health facilities.

Nelson Labour MP Rachel Boyack says despite the regions recent outbreak, Whakatū is set to stay at orange on the traffic light system.

"It's a new framework with new measures set up to keep us safe, we will be staying at orange," she says.
