Tree falls onto Salisbury Rd

A large branch has fallen from a gum tree outside Waimea College, closing the road.
A Police spokesperson say Police are on the scene to assist with traffic management.
"Police were advised at 3.05pm that a large tree had fallen across two lanes. There are no reports of injuries."
Council contractors are on site to clear the branches.
"Our contractor is working on this now and the road should be clear in about half an hour," a spokesperson said at 4pm. "Until then, it may be best to take an alternative route."
