The edible walk alongside the Great Taste Trail near Three Brother’s Corner is flourishing under the nurturing hands of Roger Jones and his small team of volunteers.
A further 25 trees have been planted this winter, including flowering cherries that are budding up and other ornamentals to complement the edibles already planted.
Fruit trees are now flowering, and Roger is hopeful the first tiny crops of fruit will ripen this year for the public.
“That’s what it’s all about – giving back to the community.”
Four cameras are erected along the walk to deter vandalism that damaged trees last year.
