An art gallery with purpose.

Based in the vibrant township of Mapua, we are a retail outlet for beautiful bespoke New Zealand art - paintings, pottery, sculpture and more that gives spaces PURPOSE.

The idea for Purpose Gallery came out of facing the challenges of living in a rapidly changing world.  How do you find purpose in what you do that is more than just a job, or the place you live?  We experimented with a variety of ideas and settled on one for our new direction - finding beauty in art and taking that to the world, from New Zealand.

Meet the owners

Róisín King

Róisín has knowledge and experience in online sales and marketing via Trade Me and Chilli Marketing alongside her deep knowledge of strategy from NZTE and taking Kiwi brands to the world stage.

Originally from Ireland, Róisín brings her deep empathy and boundless enthusiasm to the art world. Passionate about growing people and businesses and with a big-picture thinking mindset, Róisín embodies our core value: purpose.

Stu Fleming

Stu is originally from Scotland and has lived a couple of decades in Dunedin as a University lecturer and a startup mentor and advisor. He then moved into e-commerce as an agile coach in Wellington and is now coaching for a US fitness tech brand in sunny Mapua. Stu operates with empathy and anchors his work in the values of integrity and purpose, which he will bring to supporting Purpose Gallery with the latest eCommerce solutions to amplify our artists work.

Opening hours: winter hours open Tuesday - Thursday for private appointments. Friday to Sunday  11am - 4 pm open to public. Closed Monday
