The NBS Nelson Giants’ 2024 season will tip off on 27 March with an away game against the reigning champions, the Canterbury Rams.

With 10 home and 10 away games on the cards, the team makes their season debut at the Trafalgar Centre 31 March, playing host to the Franklin Bulls.

That starts off a month-long run of home games before the team heads to the deep south at the start of May for two games in three days against the Southland Sharks and Otago Nuggets.

Later that same month, they have another double-header weekend as they travel to the other end of the country for games against the Auckland Tuatara and Franklin Bulls.

The regular season wraps up for the Giants with an away game against the Taranaki Airs on 14 July.

The Final 6 will see five knockout games in the space of a week before the grand finals on 24 July.

An updated playoffs format for the upcoming season gives Giants fans another potential chance to see their home team, with the highest seeded team in each game having home court advantage instead of it all being played in Auckland.

With the last 18 home games for the Giants sold-out, basketball fans who miss out on a seat in the hangar won’t be left empty handed with every one of the 115 game NBL season broadcast live on SkySport.

Membership and season tickets will be on sale shortly, with updates provided through the Nelson Giants social media channels.
