A hat trick for Claudia Green has propelled her team into the Dream11 Super Smash finals against the Wellington Blaze on Sunday.

The 45 run win over the Northern Brave in Hamilton was a must-win elimination semi-final, and Claudia came to the party with the team’s first ever T20 hat trick.

Coming in the fourth over, the final wicket of the spell was a straight slower ball that caught Marina Lamplough, another woman with local connections, trying to flick it onto the leg side and out LBW.

Claudia would also pick up the wicket of the top-scoring Caitlin Gurrey on 52 at the death, taking any air that was left out of the Brave’s run chase of 151.

With a career best T20 figure of 4-24, it’s the perfect time to run into a streak of good form as the team has less than 48 hours before Sunday’s final at Eden Park.

Free-to-air on TVNZ from 12:30, the stage is set for be an exciting match after the two teams played to a tie as earlier in the season.
