A second-half flurry of points sees Wanderers advance to the second-division final next weekend.

They will face Stoke at Greenmeadows next Saturday after they beat Waimea OB 39-24.

Wanderers' 28-17 win over Huia was far closer than when the two teams played the week before with a nervous start to the game.

Only six points were scored in the first 40 minutes of action, with the teams trading a penalty apiece before the floodgates opened.

Six total tries, with four to Wanderers saw them snatch the win over Huia for the second week in a row.

Captain Steven Soper would score twice, while  Joshua Kelly and William Powick scored one apiece.

While Huia scored two of their own, to Hunter Griffith and Fukuyama Ryuto, it wasn't enough against a side stacked with former division one Wanderers men.

The results sees the two top regular season teams set to go to battle once more for all the glory.

Stoke have been the team to be in previous seasons, but Wanderers have only lost twice to date this season.
