Cyclist dies in Wakefield crash

A cyclist has died after being hit by a truck in Wakefield.

Emergency services were alerted to the truck and cyclist crash on SH6 between Baigent Valley Road and Hoult Valley Road West shortly before 5pm Monday.

The road remains closed while emergency services are at the scene. Diversions are in place.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
